A man ran to the door at 4.29pm, as the postal worker was locking the door.
Fortunately, there was another customer inside who at least was prepared to buy a stamp for this shocked & baffled customer - effectively taking the same time as if he had been allowed in - but the postmark will still be a day late because this postal worker, who chose a customer service job, wasn't prepared to take an extra 30 seconds to serve a legitimate need... and finish 30 seconds before the posted close time.
